A friend of mine shared this video with me over the weekend! Look at how cool this is!
This is one example of how science and art connect! This is a Pendulum Wave (similar to a Netwon's Cradle). The structure has 15 weighted pendulums, separated equally on a frame. The time that each sphere takes to move to and fro is dependent on the length of the string it is attached to. By using the wooden bar to start the swinging at the same time, the spheres begin swinging side to side, revealing different wave, and in this case color, patterns!
